Dr Anandarajan provides the medical component of ADHD assessment: detailed developmental and clinical history, physical examination, and assessment for co-existing conditions. He initiates and manages ADHD medication, monitors response and side effects, and provides ongoing medication reviews. The full diagnostic assessment (cognitive and psychological testing) is carried out by a clinical psychologist or psychiatrist.
Dr Anandarajan provides the paediatric medical assessment for children being investigated for autism spectrum disorder (ASD): comprehensive developmental history, physical and neurodevelopmental examination, and assessment of co-existing medical conditions such as sleep difficulties, gastrointestinal problems, and anxiety. He works alongside clinical psychologists and psychiatrists who carry out the formal diagnostic assessment (e.g. ADOS-2, ADI-R). He also provides ongoing medical management and medication review for children with an established ASD diagnosis.
