Viral: EBV, CMV, adenovirus
Bacterial: Staph. aureus, Strep. pyogenes
Atypical: Mycobacteria, Bartonella henselae
Kawasaki disease
Malignancy (lymphoma)


Clinical assessment
Depending on clinical assessment may require investigations including:
Blood investigations for white cells / other tests
Ultrasound scan
Other investigations
