•Groups: submandibular, anterior/posterior cervical, supraclavicular

•Function: immune response to pathogens

•**Infectious:**

•Viral: EBV, CMV, adenovirus

•Bacterial: Staph. aureus, Strep. pyogenes

•Atypical: Mycobacteria, Bartonella henselae

•**Non-infectious:**

•Kawasaki disease

•Malignancy (lymphoma)

• Clinical assessment 
• Depending on clinical assessment may require investigations incluing 

1. Blood investigations for white cells / other tests 
2. Ultrasound scan 
3. Other investigations 

Based on the clinical examination and investigation results child may require medications
